Welcome to Afterlife, a mobile application owned and operated by A.L. Experiences and Solutions Private Limited, a company registered under the Companies Act, 2013 with its registered office at FL - C-806, S.No. 11/1 to 3, 37/3 to 5, Melang Residence, Mulshi, Bhoirwadi, Pune, Maharashtra – 412115, India (hereinafter referred to as "Company", "we", "us", or "our").
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Afterlife mobile application ("App"). By registering or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
You must:

Be an Indian resident;

Be at least 18 years of age;

Complete Aadhaar-based KYC via DigiLocker;

Have legal capacity to agree to these Terms.
2. Account Creation and KYC

Aadhaar KYC through DigiLocker is mandatory.

Only one account is allowed per user per Aadhaar.

Upon successful verification, you may access all available services through the App.
3. Platform Usage

The App allows users to organize, store, assign, and pass on sensitive financial and legal information to trusted individuals (Buddies or Secretkeepers).

The platform also offers services such as digital vaults, will storage, succession guidance, message delivery, and last rites planning.

Note: Services are available only via the Afterlife mobile app. The website is informational only.
4. Tokens and Access Model

A one-time platform fee is required to activate your account.
-
Upon payment, users receive platform tokens.
-
Services within the App consume tokens based on their complexity and category.

Tokens do not expire, but this may change in future updates (with advance notice).

Once tokens are exhausted, additional tokens must be purchased to continue using services.
5. Refund Policy

Tokens once purchased are non-refundable.
-
However, if a user is unsatisfied and deletes their account within 10 days of first sign-up, a partial refund of the platform fee may be requested, after deducting value of used services.

Refund requests can be sent via in-app support or to support@myafterlife.in.
6. User Data & Privacy

All data you upload remains your property.
-
Afterlife does not sell or commercialize user data.

Your data is encrypted and stored securely using blockchain-backed infrastructure.

Access handover is triggered by Buddies or Secretkeepers, depending on user-defined rules.

Users may request data deletion from within the app. Upon confirmation, all user data will be permanently erased.
7. Responsibilities and Restrictions

By using the platform, you agree:

To provide accurate and lawful information.
-
Not to upload illegal, defamatory, obscene, or misleading content.

Not to impersonate others or use the App for fraudulent or commercial exploitation.

Not to attempt unauthorized access or reverse-engineer any part of the platform.
8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, software, and design of Afterlife are owned by the Company.

You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the App without express written permission.
9. Disclaimers
-
We do not verify the legal validity of documents uploaded or created by users.
-
Services are provided on an "as-is" basis, and we make no warranties regarding uninterrupted access or service fitness.
10. Modifications
-
We may revise these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after updates implies acceptance.

Significant changes will be notified via email or in-app notifications.
11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
-
These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

Before approaching the courts, parties must first attempt resolution via mutual negotiation, followed by mediation/arbitration if unresolved.

Users may submit concerns, grievances, or requests regarding data handling, privacy, refunds, or general terms. We will acknowledge all complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 working days from the date of receipt.
